Humber River Hospital Ribbon Cutting
Agnew Peckham was proud to be in attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Humber River Hospital on October 1st. Upon its official opening on October 18th, Humber River will be the first fully digital hospital in North America, with some of the latest technology available today integrated throughout to support excellence in care.
Agnew Peckham has worked closely with Humber River Hospital on redevelopment planning from the time the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) recommended the Hospital seek our expertise to develop a business case studying the cost differences between a redeveloped facility and a new/greenfield site. Since then, Agnew Peckham's work at Humber River Hospital has included a master program, strategic, clinical and corporate planning, a functional program for all programs/services and the clinical output specifications for the new site. This close working relationship was reflected in Chief Operating Officer, Barb Collins' opening statements at the ribbon cutting:
"Countless people have played a role in the design and building of this facility. We thank all of you - for without you this would not have been possible.
Today, I wish to acknowledge the entire Redevelopment Planning and Design Team [...] This redevelopment team, the Design compliance team Agnew Peckham and HoK Architects, came together with the Plenary Health Care team. All of them and in particular the PCL construction team, have been patient; diligent; invested - everything you could want in a team on a project like this."
We look forward to continuing our strong working relationship with Humber River Hospital and are excited to see the impact the new innovative care model will have on improving the health and wellness of the patients they serve.
